• New Updates and Features for Assignors!

Greetings Assignors!

GotSport has released new enhancements and capabilities that will improve the overall efficiency of match assigning. Improvements include:  

Match Chart Updates:

  1. Self-Assign Option: Assignors can now allow individual matches to be self-assigned, reducing the need to use the Match List for assigning referees to certain matches.
  2. Publish/Un-Publish Matches: Assignors can publish or un-publish matches from the Match Chart, streamlining the process for notifying referees when assignments are finalized.
  3. Match Chart Assignment Report: Referees’ assignments are now shown at the top of the Match Chart, including the number of assignments offered and accepted, both for the event day and the last 60 days. This will help assignors track how busy their referees are and manage workload more effectively.
  4. Referee Info Tool Tip: Contact details for referees will now be visible once they are assigned to a match, making it easier to reach out when necessary.

Auto Rejection Window:

  • Assignors can now set a time frame (in days) for referees to accept or reject their match assignment. After this period, the match will automatically be rejected if no response is given. This ensures that assignments are handled in a timely manner and prevents any unnecessary delays.

Reasoning on Rejected Matches:

  • When a referee rejects a match, they must now select a reason from a dropdown menu. This reason will be included in the rejection notification and appear in the “Match Assignments” report, providing better transparency and insight into why matches are being turned down.

Benefits for Assignors and Referees:

  • Streamlined Workflow: Assignors can now self-assign and publish matches directly within the Match Chart, saving time and reducing the number of clicks.
  • Increased Accountability:  Reasoning for rejects ensures better tracking and help assignors understand why certain assignments were not accepted. 
  • Improved Communication: Having referee contact information readily available and clearer assignment notifications should reduce confusion and improve overall coordination.
